4-Day Fishing Itinerary in Belize

 

Day 1 – Arrival & Light Tackle Warm-Up

Base Location: San Pedro (Ambergris Caye) / Placencia / Hopkins

Focus: Settle in, light tackle reef fishing

  • Morning:
    • Arrival in Belize & transfer to your lodge/resort

Day 2 – Full-Day Flats Fishing Adventure

Focus: Flats fishing for bonefish, permit, and tarpon

  • Early Morning:
    • Depart at sunrise with experienced fly-fishing or spin-casting guide
    • Head to the nearby flats (Ambergris Caye has top bonefish flats; Placencia is great for permit)
  • All Day:

  • Evening:
    • Farewell dinner with your guide team

What to Bring

  • Sunscreen (reef safe), long-sleeve shirts, hat, polarized sunglasses
  • Personal gear (if bringing your own rod or fly gear)
